Falkirk vs Rangers preview: Team news, lineups and prediction for Scottish Premiership clash
Falkirk host Rangers as the two sides play out their final Scottish Premiership match before the split.
Danny Rohl‘s side are aiming to continue piling the pressure on league leaders Hearts, who have remained unfazed for large parts of the campaign.
Despite this, the Ibrox side have remained relentlessly on their tails, with goal difference being boosted in recent weeks, with 4-1 and 4-2 wins against Aberdeen and Dundee United.
Ahead of the pause before the season’s crunch point, the Gers are looking to keep up their momentum.
To do so, though, Rangers have to get past Falkirk, who they also face on the final day of the season – a day that fans will hopefully see the coronation of this year’s champions.

Head-to-head
Promoted to the top flight last season, it has been a fantastic season for Falkirk, who have secured a top-six finish in their first year back in the division.
Over the course of the campaign, they remain unbeaten against the Gers, having played out 1-1 and 0-0 draws.
| Stat | Falkirk | Rangers |
| Wins | 1 | 28 |
| Draws | 6 | 6 |
| Goals scored | 23 | 89 |
However, they have beaten Rangers just once in 35 attempts in the league, and you would have to go all the way back to 2006 to find this, with Sunday’s hosts securing a 1-0 win on home soil in the 2006-07 campaign.
Rohl’s side will be looking to extend this unbeaten run on Sunday, massively aiding their push for the title.
Team news and predicted lineups
Throughout the week, the biggest topic surrounding the club has been the fitness of striker Ryan Naderi.
The German striker arrived from Hansa Rostock at the start of 2026, and has proven a real livewire since.
Though after scoring his first goal for the club in the recent win against Dundee United, he would be forced off at half-time, causing Rohl to reveal that Naderi has suffered a serious injury, making it unlikely that he will feature again this season.

With the towering forward out, Youssef Chermiti could come back in up top, with Thelo Aasgaard behind him, who impressed in last week’s win.
Bailey Rice will continue to spend time out on the sidelines, while Tuur Rommens will miss the action due a muscle injury sustained in training.
On the Falkirk side, Ross MacIver and Louis Marsh are both doubts, while Ethan Williams continues his spell out.
Falkirk predicted XI: Bain; McCann, Henderson, Lissah, Adams; Spencer, Tati; Yeats, Stewart, Broggio; Miller.
Rangers predicted XI: Butland; Sterling, Souttar, Djiga, Meghoma; Raskin, Chukwuani; Gassama, Aasgaard, Moore; Chermiti.
We say: Falkirk 1-3 Rangers
With the split approaching, the chance is there for Rangers to make another big statement as they push for the title.
Given the recent goalscoring run, another decent tally would be huge for the goal difference before the season’s crunch point, while the momentum is kept with such a crucial period around the corner.
