Rangers had asked to be kept informed about Bowie’s situation, but it doesn’t look like they were serious about it.
According to The Scottish Sun on 28 January, Hellas Verona are close to reaching an agreement with Hibernian to sign the 23-year-old.
The news outlet reports that the Serie A side will pay £6million plus add-ons for the Scottish centre-forward, who has scored eight goals in 22 William Hill Premiership appearances this season.
It wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility to suggest that Hibs have kept the likes of the Light Blues in the loop over Bowie’s situation.
The Glaswegian outfit haven’t had an issue making offers for a few number nines in recent weeks, but it seems like they don’t fancy a player who’s proving himself in Scotland.
With Youssef Chermiti, Bojan Miovski, and Danilo struggling to perform consistently at Ibrox, the Hibernian attackers would undoubtedly have strengthened Rohl’s squad.
