Rangers in talks to seal another striker transfer after Ryan Naderi troubles revealed
Rangers’ pursuit of Ryan Naderi is proving more difficult than expected.
Rangers have made a bid to sign Hansa Rostock striker Naderi as they seek to bolster their attack for the second half of the season.
Despite playing in the third tier of German football, Rangers are very keen on Naderi and are leading the race for his signature amid interest from Bundesliga sides.
Naderi is said to be keen on a Rangers move, but reports suggest their £2.6million offer is not to Hansa Rostock’s liking right now.
Now it seems that Rangers may be prepared to go in a different direction if they cannot recruit the 22-year-old striker.
Rangers prepared to walk away from Ryan Naderi deal
According to the Rangers Review, Rangers and Rostock “remain apart” on their valuation of the 6ft 4in Naderi.
Therefore, the Gers are discussing a more experienced attacking player for a loan move if the ex-Borussia Monchengladbach youth product is too expensive.
The report adds that Danny Rohl’s side are looking for a striker who can link up with teammates, contribute outside the box, and, naturally, score goals.
If that isn’t possible, Rangers may be prepared to wait until the summer for Naderi, who has scored eight goals and added four assists in 17 matches this season, with stats via Sofascore.

Naderi is unlikely to be Rangers’ first-choice striker if he joins before the winter transfer deadline on 2 February, though, as the Gers eye their first Scottish Premiership title since 2021.
Moreover, Rostock are chasing promotion, and if Naderi was sold, they would require a replacement. He is certainly not opposed to an Ibrox switch, but the youngster may have to bide his time.
Which other players are linked with Rangers?
With Rangers firmly in the Scottish Premiership title race, Rohl’s side could do with more quality additions to haul in leaders Hearts.
But other than Naderi, most of the transfer activity this week has revolved around other clubs targeting players already at Ibrox.
Danilo has been linked with an exit, with the Scottish giants unlikely to stand in the way of an Ibrox departure, permanent or loan.

On the flip side, Rangers have rejected a £13m bid for Youssef Chermiti, a player they only signed last summer from Everton.
Borussia Dortmund are also eyeing up Emmanuel Fernandez, but the Gers are intent on keeping him.
If Rangers want to rise from second to first, more additions may be needed, with a striker first on that list, it seems.
