Andrew Cavenagh to kickstart January with blockbuster £6m deal after Rangers latest
Andrew Cavenagh doesn’t seem fazed by the prospect of investing heavily at Rangers in the winter transfer window.
The American ownership ended the summer with a net spend of £20million, as the Gers signed 12 players for Russell Martin.
However, the former Southampton boss was eventually shown the door, and Kevin Thelwell also lost his job at Ibrox towards the end of November after most of his additions to the squad failed to live up to expectations.

Cavenagh has hired Stig Inge Bjornebye on a consultancy basis for six months, with the former Rosenborg sporting director having an input during the winter transfer window.
The ex-Norway international’s connections in his home country may come in handy as Rangers look to sign Hjerto-Dahl.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Light Blues get a deal over the line for the young midfielder sooner rather than later.
