Rangers stance on Jens Hjerto-Dahl transfer emerges as January move on cards
Rangers hold a genuine interest in Jens Hjerto-Dahl, Chris Jack has confirmed.
Hjerto-Dahl has been constantly linked to Rangers, with Danny Rohl keen to bolster his midfield options in the winter transfer window.
The Rangers Review journalist stated that the Ibrox outfit have been keeping an eye on the Norwegian prospect ahead of a potential move.
Jack believes that the Tromso star will leave his homeland when the market reopens.

Will Rangers sign Hjerto-Dahl in January?
Rangers could do with adding Hjerto-Dahl, as he would add a physical presence to the engine room, which they are lacking right now.
However, Jack is unsure whether Govan will be his destination if he does leave, with competition from clubs across Europe for his signature.
Speaking on The Rangers Review on 24 December, he said: “On Dahl, yes, there is interest from Rangers, he is someone they have been tracking for a while, they had a look at him in the summer.
“I think he will move on next month, whether that will be to Rangers or not, time will tell.
“There was interest in him from England in the summer, and there was interest from Germany as well.”

Why ‘future leader’ would be a brilliant addition for Rangers
The 20-year-old already has a growing reputation in the world of football, and his ability is already clear to those operating in Norwegian football.
Former Norway Under-18s manager, Luis Pimenta, is a huge fan of Hjerto-Dahl, and praised his impact back in 2023 after matches with Sweden and Denmark.
He said: “On the pitch he has a very good physique, but also a nice calmness with the ball in his midfield role. He is a future leader.”
Standing at 6’4, he is an imposing figure that should add the required steel to Rohl’s midfield, but he may cost a pretty penny.
Ibrox News understands that Tromso will seek a figure over £3.5million to let him leave, but that would prove to be a bargain if he can help to turn around the Gers’ fortunes.
Two of the Light Blues’ biggest issues against Hearts were a lack of physicality and poor passing, with the trio of Mohamed Diomande, Nico Raskin and Connor Barron failing to impress, and the young star would solve both.
It seems like a no-brainer to bring him to G51, the 49ers Enterprises and Andrew Cavenagh proved that they were not afraid to splash the cash, with a £20m net spend in the summer, and they may have to do so again.
Midfield is not the only issue, but it is a big one, so it needs to be addressed, and the Under-21 international ace could be the answer.
