Rangers have been keeping tabs on promising Tromso midfielder Jens Hjerto-Dahl ahead of the winter transfer window.

The 20-year-old has been a key player for the Eliteserien club in 2025, and it's no surprise he's attracting interest from the Gers.

Hjerto-Dahl's situation is being monitored at Ibrox, with the Norway Under-21 international's contract at the Romssa Arena set to expire in 2027.

Danny Rohl is expected to be backed by Andrew Cavenagh in January, and it wouldn't be surprising to see the Glaswegian outfit spend a hefty sum on reinforcements in the coming weeks.

Joe Rothwell sale to open doors for Jens Hjerto-Dahl at Rangers

Joe Rothwell's stint at the Gers seems to be coming to an end just a few months after making his way to Govan.

The 30-year-old has been a bit-part player at Ibrox this season, and it would make sense for the Light Blues to recoup their investment in him.

Rohl will surely be looking to reinforce his engine room, and Hjerto-Dahl could potentially be the perfect replacement for the former Bournemouth ace.

The 6'4" defensive midfielder has been one of the most promising prospects in Norway, and his situation will certainly be one to keep an eye on in G51.

Jens Hjerto-Dahl deal may cost hefty sum at Ibrox

Rangers have shown they aren't shy of spending money, with a net spend of around £20m in the summer.

The recruitment under Kevin Thelwell was abysmal, and Rohl will hope to avoid making the same mistakes as he will surely take charge in the absence of a sporting director.

Hjerto-Dahl seems like the perfect signing, with Nicolas Raskin also surely leaving for a top club soon if he continues to perform well, and fans will hope the Norwegian youngster can live up to expectations at the Glaswegian outfit if they sign him.
