Billy Dodds urges Rangers player to stay off social media after what’s happened at Ibrox
Billy Dodds is losing faith in Youssef Chermiti after he recorded another below-par performance in Rangers’ 2-2 draw with Dundee United.
Chermiti missed a gilt-edged chance as Rangers dropped points again on Wednesday, and it marked another poor display for the Bears.
Having started the match as a substitute, the Portuguese striker did not have the desired impact he craved, and failed to gain the right contact on a simple header from six yards out.
If it weren’t for Nedim Bajrami’s last-gasp equaliser, the Light Blues would have faced an even bigger inquest.
As a result, former assistant manager Dodds has urged Chermiti to stay off social media as noise continues to build over his failures in Govan.

Youssef Chermiti must stay off social media to avoid criticism from Rangers fans
Chermiti’s only goal came against Kilmarnock on 26 October, and it’s safe to say that he has been afforded plenty of opportunities by Danny Rohl.
Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show Podcast on 5 December, Dodds offered words of advice for the out-of-form striker.
He said: “I can see the weight of the world is on that boy’s shoulders. He knows the pressure he’s under.
“I would advise him to stay off social media and just focus on his game, because he’s now getting desperate to score a goal.

Chermiti joined Rangers for £10million from Everton on 1 September, with the move being pushed through by former sporting director Kevin Thelwell.
However, Thelwell’s expensive gamble hasn’t paid off, and the stats are highlighting a growing feeling that the 21-year-old may never be good enough to lead the line for the Bears.
Social media has become progressively hostile towards Chermiti, and fans have quickly lost faith in the 21-year-old.
It’s up to him to ignore the noise and focus on improving; otherwise, a January exit could be on the cards.

Chermiti wasn’t the only player guilty of being wasteful in front of goal, and it represents a wider issue that Rohl is facing at the moment.
Rangers’ attacking woes hit new lows vs Dundee United
Having had 32 shots and registered an xG of 4.27, it’s clear that the Bears are simply unable to put away their chances at the moment.
Despite the fact that Djeidi Gassama was at fault for missing chances on Wednesday, the strikers must do a lot better given the absurd money paid for them in the transfer window.
Bojan Miovski’s issues are taking some pressure off Chermiti, but he will always be judged by his price tag at Ibrox, and his lack of quality was once again brutally exposed.
As Rangers’ second-most expensive player of all time, he is clearly not good enough at the moment, and Chermiti could go down as the club’s worst signing of all time if his goal drought continues.
