‘Outstanding’ Rangers star has sent a clear message to Danny Rohl after draw vs Dundee United

Nedim Bajrami has had a difficult start under Danny Rohl, but came to life against Dundee United on Wednesday.

The attacking midfielder has rarely featured for the Gers since the German’s appointment.

In fact, Bajrami only made his first start for Rangers under Rohl against Falkirk last weekend, where he impressed enough to keep his place on Wednesday.

Now, his form has continued, with Rohl surely impressed with how the Albanian performed.

Nedim Bajrami was fantastic against Dundee United

While few players impressed for Rangers against Dundee United, Bajrami was certainly one.

The attacking midfielder proved to be Rohl’s saviour as he netted the late equaliser from the penalty spot to rescue a point.

However, one top of his goal, the 26-year-old proved to be the visitors’ true creative spark.

According to Sofascore on 4 December, the Albanian international created two big chances, while also having seven shots.

This performance should send a clear message to Rohl that if he wants Rangers to remain creative, he must now consistently start Bajrami.

Realistically, if it weren’t for the poor performances of the Gers’ attackers, Rohl’s side could have scored four or five, and much of this is down to Bajrami.

Hopefully, Rohl will give the attacking midfielder the nod to start once again against Kilmarnock.

Bajrami could soon become Rangers’ star player

Last season, Bajrami was regularly criticised for his performances at Rangers.

Even though Albania boss Sylvinho singled out the wideman as being an “outstanding” talent (relayed in the Scottish Sun) shortly after he joined the Gers back in 2024, the Ibrox faithful rarely saw this side of him.

However, as it stands, Bajrami may be Rangers’ best attacker, and could soon become their main man up top.

Hopefully, the Albanian international can continue this run of form for the foreseeable future and get another goal against Kilmarnock on Saturday.
