Neil McCann slams ‘shocking’ Bojan Miovski as multiple Rangers stars are destroyed for appalling incident vs Dundee United

Neil McCann did not hold back when assessing Rangers’ defending for Dundee United’s second goal.

Throughout the match, the Gers looked the better side as they created multiple chances and looked the more likely side to win the game early in the second half.

However, these hopes were soon destroyed when Amar Fatah skipped past numerous defenders before placing the ball into the net just after the hour mark to give the hosts the lead.

While multiple Rangers players were poor against Dundee United, the worst moment of the game for many of the Ibrox stars arguably came in Fatah’s goal, with Bojan Miovski being brutally called out.

Neil McCann: Rangers’ defending for Dundee United’s second as bad as it gets

While players like Jayden Meghoma had good games for Rangers, defensively the visitors were constantly exposed.

Dundee United’s second was highly preventable, with the Gers failing to clear a corner despite multiple attempts that eventually led to Fatah finding the net.

Watching the game after on BBC Sportscene on 3 December, McCann was appalled by the defending, picking out numerous players for their lacklustre efforts, including Miovski.

He said: “There are so many errors. Bajrami dipping his toe in is not good. Miovski’s challenge is shocking; it is so weak. Raskin is weak in his challenge as well.

“They don’t squeeze, and Dundee United just have that desire to get to the ball first.

“Fatah shows really good composure, but defensively, that is as bad as it gets – Djiga shocking.”

Danny Rohl has to make defensive changes for Kilmarnock

With Kilmarnock up next, Danny Rohl surely knows that he needs to make changes in his backline at Ibrox.

Every time Dundee United got forward, Rangers struggled to deal with the threat, with both of their goals being highly preventable.

This simply cannot go on, especially as it is clearly hindering their attacking potential as well.

Therefore, multiple players need to be dropped, even if it means bringing in a youth player until January, when a replacement can be signed.
