Further Rangers sackings demanded after Kevin Thelwell latest – ‘How can that be right?’
Rangers are still dealing with the fallout of Kevin Thelwell’s short-lived spell at Ibrox.
Rangers sacked Thelwell and Patrick Stewart on Monday, with Andrew Cavenagh insisting the club are moving in a different direction.
Thelwell was heavily disliked by Rangers fans, not helping himself with the failed summer spend of millions and the appointment of his own son, Robbie.
Dan Purdy, Nathan Fisher and Thelwell Jr were all hired under his watch, yet those three appear to have survived the huge change at Ibrox.

Further Rangers sackings demanded
Rangers spent millions sacking Stewart and Thelwell, yet more change has been questioned already.
With Purdy, Fisher and Thelwell keeping their jobs, Calum Crowe could not believe the news and believes that all three should have also been let go.
Writing in the print edition of the Scottish Daily Mail on Wednesday, Crowe insists that it isn’t right and removing Thelwell’s so-called clique would promise that fresh start.
“Thelwell had been allowed to build his own little empire behind the scenes,” he wrote.
“He brought in his son, Robbie, as Rangers’ head of recruitment. Technical director Dan Purdy and chief scout Nathan Fisher were also close allies.

“As things stand, these guys will be allowed to continue in post. How can that be right? They were all part of Thelwell’s clique. They should all be moved on.”
It has been a rollercoaster start to their tenure in charge at Rangers, yet Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe clearly don’t see it calming down anytime soon.
Rangers changes are not done yet, success still possible
Rangers are in a strange state right now.
Sitting bottom of the Europa League with zero wins, Braga are next at Ibrox on Thursday.
Despite that torrid form, they are still somehow in the Scottish Premiership title race, sitting five points behind Celtic and possibly only six behind Hearts.
That’s despite many ruling them out of contention already, with Danny Rohl winning four consecutive games in the league since his arrival.
With Thelwell and Stewart’s two very high-profile exits, it is unlikely that more changes will be made in the coming weeks, as stability is wanted and needed in Govan.
Purdy, Fisher and Thelwell Jr appear to be safe, for now.
