Danilo goes missing, teammate embarrasses – Rangers player ratings vs Livingston
Emmanuel Fernandez had a mixed outing as Rangers beat Livingston 2-1 in the William Hill Premiership on Saturday.
Danny Rohl made four changes to his team at Ibrox on 22 November, with two defensive switches forced by injuries to John Souttar and Derek Cornelius.
Fernandez was at the end of a controversy against Livingston after scoring in the ninth minute, as Tete Yengi’s shot hit his arm in the box with the score 1-1, but VAR didn’t recommend an on-field review.
The Glaswegian outfit managed to get the three points in the end as Mohamed Diomande scored in the 78th minute after a brilliant run from Bojan Miovski in behind Livi’s defence.
Thelo Aasgaard risks Rangers axe after performance vs Livingston
Thelo Aasgaard has been one of the most encouraging performers under Rohl, but the Norway international was embarrassing against Livingston.
While most of the attackers looked clueless at Ibrox, the former Luton Town star was just wandering aimlessly in the final third for most of the first half.
The German manager subsequently replaced Aasgaard with Miovski right after the break, with the North Macedonia international having an instant impact with his attacking abilities.
There’s an argument that the former Sheffield Wednesday boss should’ve started the former Girona striker, but he realised his mistake after 45 minutes.

Danilo has been brilliant under Rohl, but the striker was undoubtedly nowhere to be seen in the 2-1 victory.
The Brazilian centre-forward didn’t have much of an impact in the opening 45 minutes, and after Miovski came on, the North Macedonia international certainly made a case to start in the upcoming matches.
With the German manager dealing with a few fitness issues, the upcoming matches will be a chance for certain players to make a case for themselves in G51.
While Danilo will be disappointed with his display, Miovski and Nedim Bajrami may have played themselves into the team.
