Danny Rohl already staring at worst-case Rangers scenario ahead of Dens Park trip
Rangers and Danny Rohl will already be staring at a worst-case scenario of having only competition to compete in should they drop points at Dens Park, according to Hugh Keevins.
Rangers dropped points against Roma on Thursday in the Europa League in what was another disappointing performance.
Indeed, the Gers have collected zero points in the competition thus far, and Rohl’s side have no chance of making the Europa League knockouts as things stand.
Rohl replaced Russell Martin at Ibrox in a bid to turn their season around. But the newly appointed head coach seems to be finding that task trickier than first expected.
As a result, all eyes will be on Rohl when Rangers take on Dundee in the Scottish Premiership on 9 November.

Rangers’ title hopes hanging by a thread ahead of Dundee trip
Rangers’ recent 1-0 victory over Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership secured the Gers’ back-to-back wins in the league for the first time this season.
Indeed, their previous 3-1 win over Kilmarnock had Rangers fans believing that change was upon them.
Despite their recent league success, Rangers suffered a 3-1 defeat to Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final.
Coupled with the defeat to Roma, their upcoming game against Dundee on Sunday will be that much more important.
Writing for the Daily Record on 9 November, journalist Keevins wrote there was a “rambling quality” to Rohl’s post-match comments after Roma and highlighted the “worst-case” scenario that could happen at Dens Park.
He said: “If Rangers should contrive to leave any points behind in Dundee on Sunday, they will be looking at a worst-case scenario where the Scottish Cup is all they have left to play for this season. Talk your way out of that one.”

Rangers fans will want something to look forward to this season. As such, Rohl will be determined to deliver against Dundee.
Danny Rohl has one thing to be wary of vs Dundee
Rangers are currently fifth in the Scottish Premiership. But defeat at Dens Park would see their opponents, who are provisionally seventh, overtake them.
The game against Dundee is a real mismatch and the Gers are at a disadvantage.
Indeed, their opponents are a much bigger goalscoring threat:
- Dundee have netted 17 goals in the league
- Rangers have only scored 12 goals
- Dundee have created six more big chances than Rangers
Dundee are both a high-scoring and chance-creating team, which could cause the Gers’ backline issues. As a result, Rohl will need to find a way to minimise their attacking output during the confrontation.
