Exclusive: Youssef Chermiti exit already on cards at Rangers with Kevin Thelwell to face scrutiny
Rangers are already open to the idea of Youssef Chermiti leaving in January, Ibrox News understands.
While fortunes may change under Danny Rohl in the near future, it has been a wretched start to the campaign for Rangers, who are already looking as though they have very little to play for this season.
Russell Martin‘s inept managerial ability is a big reason behind that, but the main focus will be on the summer recruitment at Ibrox.
Aside from Djeidi Gassama and, at most, a handful of others, Kevin Thelwell’s business was dreadful, and that included the signing of Chermiti.

January loan could be sanctioned for Youssef Chermiti
Ibrox News has learned that Rangers are concerned with the performances of Chermiti this season, having joined as a replacement for Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers.
Since his move, Chermiti has managed just two goal contributions across all competitions and has faced plenty of criticism for his performances, with other frustrations aimed at Thelwell for the decision to sign him in the summer.
As a result, the Gers are already weighing up their options for the January transfer window, which could lead to Chermiti departing on loan.
Should that be the case, Ibrox News understands that Braga are one of three Portuguese sides waiting in line, with clubs from Turkey also monitoring any further developments.

If Chermiti were to leave on loan, it would leave Rohl with Bojan Miovski and Danilo as his striking options.
Rangers need to sign a striker in January
Regardless of whether Chermiti stays or goes, the Light Blues have very little threat when it comes to their attacking options.
Miovski has struggled on his return to Scottish football, while Danilo has never been one you can rely on to score regular goals.
If Rangers are to somehow make something of the current campaign, they simply need to explore options in January and bring in a forward who can replicate the form of Dessers last season.
Prior to his exit, Dessers scored 29 times for the Gers last season, and while he was on the receiving end of criticism last season, his goals have been a huge miss in the current campaign.
