Keith Jackson wowed by incredible Rangers stat after win vs Hibernian
Danny Rohl has already put Russell Martin to shame as Rangers beat Hibernian in the William Hill Premiership on Wednesday.
Easter Road welcomed Rohl’s team on 29 October, with the Gers managing to win back-to-back league games for the first time this season after the 1-0 victory.
Danilo’s wonderful strike in the fifth minute was enough to hand the Light Blues crucial three points, as they now go into the Old Firm Derby on 2 November in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final at Hampden with some momentum.
Jack Butland’s heroics against Hibs can’t be overstated, with the goalkeeper saving a penalty from Jamie McGrath late on after Connor Barron brought down Junior Hoilett in the box in the 85th minute, ensuring a clean sheet in Edinburgh.

Rangers keep first away clean sheet since December after win vs Hibernian
It took the Gers 25 attempts to keep their first away clean sheet, beating Hibernian in a close encounter.
The Light Blues previously managed to shut their opponents out away from Ibrox on 8 December 2024 in the William Hill Premiership, winning 3-0 at the Global Energy Stadium.
Keith Jackson seemed baffled by the statistic, with the 1-0 win at Easter Road just the second league clean sheet of the campaign for the Glaswegian outfit.
Speaking on Hotline Live on 29 October, Fraser Wilson said, “25th attempt it was, since 8 December, the game against Ross County. It’s incredible,” to which Jackson responded, “Wow.”
Rohl has already implemented changes from Martin’s time at Ibrox, with the Gers now looking much more compact and defensively resolute.
Playing three centre-backs has certainly helped the German manager stop the Light Blues from shipping in goals, and it will be interesting to see how he sets up against Celtic.
Danny Rohl must now buck another trend vs Celtic
Rohl will feel he has the edge over Celtic after the recent turmoil at Parkhead, which saw Brendan Rodgers resign and be replaced by Martin O’Neill on an interim basis.
While the Hoops are going through their own crisis, their record against Rangers in the League Cup has been impressive, winning the last five meetings between the two.

The Old Firm derby took place in the Premier Sports Cup final last season, with the score ending 3-3 after extra time, and Celtic subsequently winning on penalties.
In the previous league meeting at Ibrox, the game ended in a dull 0-0 draw, and fans certainly wouldn’t want to watch that again.
