Rangers board cracks as divide emerges over new manager appointment after London talks
Rangers have been stuck in turmoil for years now, and the end is not in sight.
Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe have already apologised to fans, despite only completing their takeover over the summer at Ibrox.
Russell Martin was appointed and sacked within 123 days, with the new manager search not going much better either, as things stand.
Danny Rohl has been widely shared as the frontrunner, but things don’t appear to be as straightforward at the very top of Rangers.

Rangers boardroom drama over Danny Rohl
Rohl will likely be wondering what is taking so long, as other candidates drop like flies.
The Daily Record has reported that a senior Rangers figure wants to hand him the job, but others in the boardroom are pushing for more senior options.
The 36-year-old still needs to put his backroom staff together, if successful, and wants someone with Rangers connections alongside him.

Among the named alternatives is Kevin Muscat.
Either way, early signs of a crack and divide in the Rangers boardroom aren’t positive, especially after another full round of talks in London over recent days.
Is Danny Rohl an outstanding candidate for Rangers?
The short answer to that is no.
But, if there was an outstanding candidate on the market, Rangers would have already made their move, so any reluctance doesn’t reflect badly on the German himself.
The big thing going against him is that Rangers fans immediately compare his route into management to that of Martin, starting in the English lower leagues and catching the eye.

It is hard to judge his record at Hillsborough, though, given the circumstances.
Some say Rohl worked miracles at Sheffield Wednesday, so the situation at Ibrox would likely be no surprise, should he finally be handed the job.
With a divide in the boardroom, though, that looks unlikely at this very moment in time – something that may change as the days progress.
