Forgotten Rangers star posts series of images after Russell Martin sack at Ibrox
Russell Martin wasn’t afraid to freeze out Rangers players before he was sacked.
Rangers fans’ anger resulted in a police escort for Martin at Falkirk, summing up the negative view surrounding him before his exit.
It was little surprise that Rangers then decided to sack Martin after a terrible run since taking over at Ibrox in the summer.
Several managerial options, like Steven Gerrard, have been assessed by Rangers as the Light Blues await a much-needed boost.
The appointment of a Martin replacement could represent a fresh start for many members of the squad in Govan, with one sharing cryptic social media posts in reaction.

Clinton Nsiala shares six Instagram posts after Russell Martin exit
Nico Raskin struggled under Martin’s reign at Rangers as the Belgian international was regularly slammed by the Englishman.
The 24-year-old has still managed to make 14 appearances this season, contributing to five goals in that time across all competitions.
The same can’t be said for Clinton Nsiala, who failed to play a single competitive minute with the ex-Southampton boss in the G51 dugout.
He last featured on 26 April, starting in the 2-2 draw with St Mirren under the temporary management of Barry Ferguson.

The 21-year-old hasn’t even made a matchday squad this campaign.
Nsiala will be hoping that this will change under a new manager at Ibrox and has since reacted by sharing various images of himself on his Instagram story on 7 October.
These feature various pictures of himself playing for Rangers last season alongside a bible verse as his final post.
Clinton Nsiala could make Rangers return under new manager
The young Frenchman has had a difficult time with the Gers since making his move to G51 from AC Milan in 2024.
After making just 13 appearances last season, there were hopes that he could take the next step this campaign.
Stat (Scottish Premiership 24/25) | Clinton Nsiala |
Pass accuracy (%) | 88.6 |
Tackles per 90 | 0.65 |
Duels won per 90 | 3.12 |
Blocked shots per 90 | 0.86 |
Nsiala put in some positive performances last time around as he provided a useful versatility to the Light Blues’ squad under Ferguson.
He wasn’t trusted by Martin, but he will now hope for a squad return as soon as a new head coach comes through the doors at Ibrox.
