Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe make demand as Rangers manager shortlist emerges
Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe want to leave no stone unturned as Rangers search for a new manager.
Russell Martin was sacked after drawing to Falkirk in the William Hill Premiership on 5 October, with the Gers rooted to eighth in the league table.
The Scottish manager lasted just 123 days in the Light Blues’ dugout, the shortest tenure of any permanent head coach in G51.
Cavenagh now looks set to take the lead at Ibrox, with the US consortium wanting to assess all options before appointing a new manager.

Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe want foreign options in Rangers manager shortlist
Cavenagh and Marathe want to be at the forefront of the Gers’ managerial search, according to the Daily Record.
The news outlet reports on 7 October that the Light Blues’ chairman and vice-chairman want to see several names from abroad in the shortlist of candidates to fill the Ibrox vacancy.
It’s been claimed that the Glaswegian outfit are still drawing up a list of names, with Derek McInnes expected to be under consideration.
Steven Gerrard’s return to Ibrox could be on the cards, but it remains to be seen who the US consortium will go with.

With Kevin Thelwell and Gretar Steinsson being handed the reins the first time around before Martin arrived, Cavenagh and Marathe will undoubtedly want to take the lead now.
The next person who walks through the doors at the Gers will need to hit the ground running, as fans have already grown frustrated with the new ownership.
Davide Ancelotti heavily linked to Ibrox before Martin appointment at Ibrox
Davide Ancelotti’s future at Botafogo is uncertain after joining them instead of the Light Blues in the summer.
While fans were concerned about the former Real Madrid assistant manager’s lack of experience as a first-team head coach, he would have arguably been a more popular choice than Martin.
