Jake Humphrey made to look like complete idiot after Russell Martin sack at Rangers
Rangers are at the centre of the sporting news agenda after Russell Martin was told to pack his bags on Sunday.
Andrew Cavenagh sacked Martin on the back of Rangers’ 1-1 draw with Falkirk, with those two points proving to be the final straw.
Rangers fans made their thoughts towards Martin clear after the game in Falkirk, with Martin forced to travel back to Glasgow separately.
Richard Keys has called for Kevin Thelwell to resign at Ibrox, blasting the decision to appoint Martin in the first place.
Martin‘s tenure clearly did not go to plan, but it is not something Jake Humphrey foresaw coming in Glasgow.

Jake Humphrey way off it with Russell Martin remark
Martin was sacked by Southampton last season, with the Saints enduring a truly terrible campaign under the 39-year-old.
Despite that, Martin still found himself linked with a fair few high-profile positions, the one at Ibrox being among them.
Martin was appointed by Rangers in the summer but lasted less than a quarter of the season, summing up just how abysmal his tenure has been.
However, former presenter and now High Performance podcast host Humphrey clearly felt Rangers had pulled off a coup at the time.
Posting on his personal X account on 18 April this year, Humphrey said: “Whoever moves fast and hires Russell Martin as their next manager will be making a very good decision.”
It goes without saying that Humphrey could not have been wider from the mark with his opinion six months ago.
What next for Martin after Rangers exit?
Martin may well want to have a bit of time out of the game given the experiences of his past two jobs.
In fairness to Martin, he did at least have some good times at Southampton as he took them up to the Premier League.

The former MK Dons and Swansea City boss has already been linked with a swift return to the dugout with Luton Town, who sacked Matt Bloomfield on Monday.
Rangers fans have been criticised for their treatment of Martin, but the bottom line is he just simply was not good enough.
The good news is that the board, albeit way later than expected, have pulled the trigger and now everyone can move on.
