Barry Ferguson makes ‘crazy’ Rangers prediction, Russell Martin must win vs Falkirk
Russell Martin can’t make any mistakes as Rangers face Falkirk in the William Hill Premiership on Sunday.
John McGlynn will take on Martin in FK2 on 5 October, with the Gers looking to climb further up the league table after a poor start to the season.
The Scottish manager has nowhere to hide at the Light Blues, with fans already turning against him, protesting for a change in the dugout.
Martin is lucky to survive at Ibrox after losing to Sturm Graz, but the Glaswegian outfit shouldn’t write off their campaign just yet.

Rangers still in William Hill Premiership title race as Celtic falter
Barry Ferguson believes the Gers still have a chance to make a push to win the William Hill Premiership.
The former Scotland international has told the Light Blues to forget about Europe and focus on getting back into the title race at Ibrox.
With Hearts extending their lead to 12 points at the top of the table, the Glaswegian outfit have to beat Falkirk in FK2 and find consistency after the international break.

Ferguson wrote in the Daily Record on 4 October: “Europe is a bonus. And people might think I’m crazy because of the league position — but there’s still an opportunity for Rangers to challenge. That’s why it’s so important they put a run of wins together, starting with Falkirk on Sunday when they have to get three points.
“Celtic aren’t firing on all cylinders. I know Hearts are flying high, but there’s still 32 games to play. Domestically, there’s still so much to play for. I genuinely don’t think there’s a better time for Rangers to go and fight for a title. But obviously to do that, they need to start winning every week in the league.”
Steven Gerrard can win league title at Ibrox
Andrew Cavenagh should get on the phone with Steven Gerrard and try to bring the Englishman back to the Gers.
The Liverpool icon broke the 10-year wait for a league title in G51 and feels like the perfect candidate to bring success back to the Light Blues.

In the summer, Gerrard was being linked with the hotseat at the Glaswegian outfit, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him back in the mix in the coming weeks.
Martin’s sacking at Rangers feels inevitable, and the Scottish manager has reached a point where he should offer his resignation.
While all may not be lost this season, with the Premier Sports Cup also still up for grabs, the former Southampton boss may not have the tools to lead the Gers to success.
