Kevin Thelwell already knows what Rangers fans think about him after Ibrox confrontation
Rangers fans seem to be fed up with the Ibrox hierarchy after a poor start to the season under Russell Martin.
The Scottish manager extended the Gers’ winless run to five in the William Hill Premiership as Hearts got the three points at Ibrox on 13 September.
Andrew Cavenagh has extended his support to Martin despite the Light Blues enduring their worst start to a league campaign in 47 years.
With emotions running high in G51, the Glaswegian outfit’s new sporting director has already faced the ire of the supporters.

Rangers fans rage at Kevin Thelwell after loss vs Hearts
Thelwell was on the receiving end of fan criticism after the full-time whistle against Hearts, Kevin Thomson says.
The former midfielder was at Ibrox as Derek McInnes’ team ended their 11-year winless run in G51 after Lawrence Shankland’s brace in the 2-0 victory.
Thomson revealed that a majority of the stadium was empty by the time the match ended, but those who had stayed back in the gantry were being “disrespectful” towards the Glaswegian outfit’s sporting director.
Speaking on the Scottish Football Social Club on 15 September, the Scotsman said: “[Martin] went straight down the tunnel after the game. I think three-quarters of the stadium was empty. Just behind me in the gantry, there were quite a lot of fans being quite disrespectful to Thelwell.”

Andrew Cavenagh should review Kevin Thelwell performance at Ibrox
Thelwell should be held accountable at Ibrox after an approximate net spend of £20million under the new ownership after the previous transfer window.
The former Everton sporting director was responsible for signing 12 players at the Gers last summer, but it’s safe to say that most of them have been underwhelming.
A lot of the Light Blues’ business focused on getting players from down south, but that strategy has arguably backfired, with Djeidi Gassama the only one living up to expectations.

Thelwell undoubtedly put his reputation on the line for Youssef Chermiti, with the £10m price tag, including add-ons, the most Rangers have spent on a single player in 25 years.
The Portugal Under-21 international spent two years at Everton without a goal or assist to his name, but the Gers’ sporting director went all out to reunite with him.
It’s only fair that the boardroom faces the heat from the fans as they’re continuing to back Martin in G51 despite the writing being on the wall.
