This is when Rangers may sack Russell Martin after new reveal, it’s not far away
Rangers fans want Russell Martin to leave his role as manager, but they will have to wait even longer to get their wish.
It has been reported that Martin will escape boardroom talks over his future at Rangers, despite a winless start to the season and a toxic atmosphere at Ibrox yet again.
It is clear that the manager needs to leave Rangers, with Ally McCoist describing Martin as a “fraud,” following their 2-0 defeat to Hearts on Saturday.
The Rangers board are simply delaying the inevitable, and history suggests that there is a timeline in place for Martin’s eventual dismissal.

Russell Martin could be sacked within two weeks
Rangers have sacked several managers over the years, with Philippe Clement dismissed in February after a dismal run of form, but things are much worse now under Martin.
Clement’s side were knocked out of the Scottish Cup by Queens Park, a result that should have resulted in his instant dismissal, but he clung on for two more weeks before being sacked.
While a lot of the Rangers hierarchy has changed, with new ownership from Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises, CEO Patrick Stewart oversaw Clement’s exit and is set to green light Martin’s.

With Martin hanging on by a thread, David Edgar from the Heart and Hand Podcast has now pointed out that he could be sacked within two weeks, like Clement.
“This is exactly what happened after Queen’s Park with Clement, and they had to sack him two weeks later. History will repeat here,” Edgar posted on X, in response to news that Martin’s job is safe for now.

Rangers board could ruin entire season with Russell Martin decision
With the fans, former players and media in full agreement that Martin’s time at Rangers must come to an end, attention must now be turned towards the club hierarchy.
Stewart joined Rangers in November last year, and played a part in the mistaken delay in sacking Clement, as well as the even bigger error in hiring Martin.
Now, Stewart is making the same mistake, and if Rangers are beaten in the Scottish League Cup by Hibernian, they will lose what is possibly their best chance of silverware this season, and the board will arguably be more to blame than the out-of-depth manager.
