‘It’s crazy’ – Mikey Moore ‘nonsense’ slammed as update delivered on likely Rangers debut

Mikey Moore could be in line to make his long-awaited Rangers debut after completing a loan move from Tottenham.

Rangers beat several other clubs to sign Moore, who is regarded as one of Tottenham’s best young talents, and a deal was confirmed in recent weeks.

Moore also signed a new contract at Spurs after his loan move, but despite arriving over a week ago, he is yet to play for Rangers.

Russell Martin’s side were beaten by Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League without Moore, and Derek Ferguson has now expressed his disappointment with the nature of his transfer.

Ferguson slams Moore delay at Rangers

Moore has now turned 18, and after missing three games, none of which Rangers won, he is finally eligible to feature for the first time.

Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, Ferguson slammed the “nonsensical” paperwork issues which prevented Moore from featuring in the previous two league games, as well as in Europe.

“It’s crazy that it comes down to paperwork. All this nonsense that goes on behind the scenes because of what age he is,” Ferguson stated.

We’re all desperate to see him in the blue jersey. There’s some division that we should be creating our own talents, but there’s real hype around this youngster.

Hopefully that now happens on Saturday. But all this paperwork stuff, in this day and age, they need to get a grip of themselves – what nonsense.”

Moore available against Alloa

Rangers are in Scottish League Cup action against Alloa Athletic on Saturday, and Moore is finally eligible to play at Ibrox for the first time.

Moore is likely to be included in the starting XI in a changed team for Rangers, as Martin aims to discover what his best lineup is.

Rangers will be frustrated that the attacker was unable to feature so far, with Cyriel Dessers disappointing upfront in the first few games, and Martin will hope that Moore’s inclusion can spark his side into life after a poor start to the season.

The Gers still need to add to their options at centre-forward, but Moore could be a very useful attacker across the front line as he aims to develop his game further.
