Rangers may have signed Mikey Moore some time ago, but he has yet to make his debut.

Moore officially joined the Ibrox club on a season-long loan from Tottenham on 1 August, and the Gers have played three matches since then.

There has been a delay in the teenager representing the Light Blues because, as a minor under FIFA rules, his loan requires international clearance, which has not yet been completed.

Now, the Bears have made an announcement on Moore as his transfer saga continues to drag.

Rangers wish Moore well on landmark day for winger

Rangers are set to play Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League to cement their place in the next round of qualifying on Tuesday.

While several new signings are primed to play against the Czech side, Moore will not be one of them.

However, the winger should soon play for Russell Martin's side as Monday marks his 18th birthday.

Moore made an impact with the little minutes he had

The Glasgow outfit wished the teenager a happy birthday on their X account above an image of him in the Ibrox dressing room (11 August).

However, the post was met by criticism aimed at the governing bodies by Four Lads Had A Dream.

They said: "Should really help our governing bodies who have handled this by going ‘If we take long enough around the protocols, he’ll turn 18 anyway’.

"A total shambles as per usual. Happy Birthday, young man."

Moore poised for breakthrough season at Ibrox

Moore and Rangers will want to put this fiasco behind them when the teenager finally graces the Ibrox turf.

The winger has shown glimpses of talent at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, particularly in European competition.

However, a starting berth for Spurs was always going to be a challenge, given the signings they are looking to make this summer.

The Lilywhites have already acquired Mohammed Kudus and are now in talks to sign Man City winger Savinho.

During his time in North London, the 18-year-old demonstrated how progressive he is with the ball and looks to drive forward whenever possible.

Given the opportunities he should have in Glasgow, Moore can enjoy a breakthrough season in Scotland.
