When could Mikey Moore make his Rangers debut after Russell Martin update
Rangers have had a successful transfer window so far as they look to challenge Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
The loan signing of Mikey Moore from Tottenham has added even more depth to Russell Martin’s squad, and he could feature soon for the Light Blues after a turbulent 1-1 draw with Motherwell.
Martin was furious following the draw and made changes for the UEFA Champions League qualifier win against Viktoria Plzen.
With the Rangers boss quick to chop and change his side, it is expected that Moore will get plenty of opportunities at Ibrox.

Moore could make his debut against Viktoria Plzen
Moves away for forwards Cyriel Dessers and Hamza Igamane haven’t been ruled out in the coming weeks.
Dessers has been back in and around the squad, though, and Igamane is nearing a return.
However, after such a thorough 3-0 over Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League qualifying first leg, the second leg could offer Gers a good opportunity to bed in some new players.
Martin will be without Moore when they host Dundee on Saturday (9 August) as the forwards’ registration at Ibrox has hit some snags.
Player | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Antman | 36 | 6 | 16 |
Moore | 19 | 1 | 2 |
Therefore, the earliest opportunity for the 17-year-old to feature would be in the qualifying second leg.
The game on Tuesday (12 August) would offer the perfect opportunity for the Bears to test out Moore alongside new signing Oliver Antman, with little risk of bottling their 3-0 lead.
Both players will take some time to adjust to the Scottish Premiership and therefore likely won’t feature in the league until Rangers visit St Mirren later in the month (24 August).

Moore could upset Rangers’ regulars
Last season, Gers became too reliant on players who were getting regular gametime despite their clear lack of effort.
With Martin’s ruthlessness partnered with Moore’s desire, the pair could cause a stumbling block for those who have shown that they are not deserving of a starting place.
Up top, Moore offers effort, pace, and an eye for goal that Gers have been desperate for.
With such a busy season ahead, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the 17-year-old utilised, though Martin must be careful not to push the youngster too far.
