Rangers move to sign Carl Rushworth to hinge on one condition
This story includes exclusive opinion from injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar.
Rangers are among the clubs linked with Brighton goalkeeper Carl Rushworth this summer.
Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has assessed the 24-year-old’s fitness ahead of a potential move in the coming weeks.
He moved to Hull City on loan last season but was recalled by the Seagulls in the January transfer window.

Rangers may take a closer look at the ankle injury sustained by Carl Rushworth
The Ibrox outfit may take a closer look at the ankle injury sustained by the English stopper before making a final decision on the transfer, according to Dr Brar.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, exclusively told Ibrox News: “The club may take a closer look at his ankle injury from this past season to assess healing and if there’s any additional wear they may not be comfortable with.
“He is a goalkeeper, so obviously, there would be different barriers of assessment.
“It may come down to the risk they are willing to take, but this is not one of those high-risk transfers, so I’d not recommend against it.”
Russell Martin may ask the Ibrox hierarchy to sign a new goalkeeper
While Butland remains Rangers’ No. 1, Russell Martin may still push the Ibrox hierarchy to sign a new goalkeeper if the right opportunity arises.
Butland’s reliability is unquestioned, but Martin’s possession-based philosophy demands a keeper with exceptional distribution and ball-playing skills to initiate attacks.
With the Ibrox outfit aiming to dominate domestically and compete in Europe, a goalkeeper offering both shot-stopping prowess and modern playmaking ability could elevate the squad.
Martin’s ambition to refine his system may drive a bold request for a transformative signing.
