Rangers are keen on securing the services of Brighton goalkeeper Carl Rushworth in the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old moved to the AmEx Stadium back in 2019 and has since been out on loan to different clubs.

Last term, he was loaned out to Hull City in the summer until the end of the season, but was recalled by the Seagulls in January.

Carl Rushworth subject to growing transfer interest

Brighton have already received a bid for Rushworth this summer and there are other sides keen on securing his services.

The Premier League side decided to turn down the bid from a Championship side, but interest remains in the Englishman.

Rushworth wants to be one who decides where he'll go this summer, rather than the club making that decision for him.

Gers, despite having Jack Butland and Liam Kelly, are keen on signing the 24-year-old on loan.

Rangers should look to discuss personal terms with Rushworth

Rangers should urgently discuss personal terms with Rushworth, as the Brighton goalkeeper seeks regular game time, making him a prime target to bolster their squad.

His impressive loan spells demonstrate his reliability and potential to challenge or surpass Rangers’ current goalkeepers, Butland and Kelly.

With Championship clubs circling, the Ibrox outfit risk losing him if they delay.

A loan move aligns with Brighton’s strategy, as Rushworth is behind Bart Verbruggen and Jason Steele.

His desire for minutes and proven track record in high-pressure games make him an upgrade, especially for Gers’ Champions League aspirations.

Acting swiftly ensures they secure a talented keeper before rivals capitalise, strengthening their defence for the 2025-26 season.
