Cyriel Dessers ‘has had enough at Rangers’ as multiple transfer bids rejected

Cyriel Dessers may see his transfer saga drag on for some time at Rangers this summer transfer window.

AEK Athens want the Nigeria international, but the Gers have so far been unable to come to an agreement over a fee.

Dessers’ time at Ibrox has been fruitful in terms of goalscoring numbers, but some fans don’t really hold him in high regard due to his inconsistency up front.

The 30-year-old seems to have had enough of his experience in Glasgow, and he may be frustrated with multiple bids being rejected for him.

With uncertainty surrounding the 30-year-old’s future, the situation is one to keep an eye on as Russell Martin prepares to face Panathinaikos on 22 July in the Champions League qualifier.

The centre-forward was the Light Blues’ leading goalscorer last season, and they will certainly have to spend big to replace his influence in the team.

Dessers needed at Ibrox as Hamza Igamane close to exit

LOSC Lille are working on signing Hamza Igamane from the Gers, and the Moroccan youngster has already agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 outfit.

The Glaswegian outfit are hoping to compete with Celtic next season after appointing Martin in the dugout.

It will be interesting to see how the Scottish manager does in the coming weeks with an attack that is yet to be reinforced.

Rangers will be without Vaclav Cerny for next season, and the Czech international’s impact in G51 will arguably be missed.

Martin could potentially be set to lose two of his most important strikers in the coming weeks, leaving Danilo as the only viable option.

The Light Blues have bolstered their defence and midfield this transfer window and must now shift focus to identifying possible replacements for Igamane and Dessers.

As for Dessers, he may have to stay for the time being as the Glaswegian outfit look for new attackers.
