‘Igamane replacement found’ as Rangers to push for Alieu Fadera transfer

Rangers may replace Hamza Igamane with Como forward Alieu Fadera this summer transfer window.

LOSC Lille want the Morocco international in their ranks, with the Gers holding out for £15million.

Kevin Thelwell should cash in on Igamane if the Ligue 1 outfit are willing to meet the young centre-forward’s price tag.

If the 22-year-old were to leave the Glaswegian outfit in the coming weeks, it looks like they have already found his successor.

Rangers strongly interested in Fadera transfer as Como exit likely

Fadera is attracting interest from the Gers amid his uncertain future at Como, according to Foday Manneh.

The football reporter, who is followed by Scottish journalist Chris Jack, revealed on X (8 July) that the Light Blues have the 23-year-old on their radar at Ibrox.

It’s been claimed that The Gambia international wants more game time next season, and the likelihood of his departure from the Serie A outfit is high.

While the winger could stay in Italy, the Glaswegian outfit want to bring him to the Scottish Premiership this summer.

Igamane’s possible exit will be a big blow for the Gers ahead of next season as they look to knock Celtic off their perch.

The Moroccan youngster broke into the team under Philippe Clement, replacing Cyriel Dessers, and then played alongside the Nigeria international when Barry Ferguson was interim manager, usually being deployed on the left wing.

Fadera one of several attacking transfer targets at Ibrox

Sheffield Wednesday left winger Djeidi Gassama is another forward who has been recently linked with a move to Ibrox.

Rangers also have Grady Diangana on their radar, and it will be interesting to see how many attacking additions Kevin Thelwell will make this summer.

The Gers have already lost Vaclav Cerny and Ianis Hagi, and the prospect of losing Igamane and Dessers will only lead to the depletion of Martin’s attacking options.

It isn’t surprising to see the Light Blues looking at several forward options in the ongoing transfer window, but whether Fadera will arrive in G51 remains to be seen.
