Rangers are expected to receive a bid for Hamza Igamane imminently, Ibrox News has learned.

The Moroccan attacker is on the back of an impressive debut campaign at Ibrox and he could leave after just one year at the club.

Sources tell Ibrox News that France is likely to be his next destination, with both Lille and Marseille keen on signing Igamane.

Igamane's career stats.

Igamane was a regular for Gers under Philippe Clement as well as Barry Ferguson, playing out wide as well as down the middle.

He was signed for around £2million last summer, so they are expected to make a hefty profit from his sale.

Rangers need to invest the Igamane money wisely

Rangers must prioritise replacing Igamane as his exit would leave a significant gap in their attacking line.

Igamane’s 16 goals and three assists in 46 appearances during the 2024/25 season showcased his potential as a dynamic, versatile forward, critical to their Scottish Premiership and Europa League campaigns.

Losing him, alongside Cyriel Dessers’ potential departure to AEK Athens, risks depleting their goal-scoring options, especially with Danilo’s injury-plagued record, missing significant time due to a fractured cheekbone and knee issues, rendering him unreliable.

Investing the substantial profit from Igamane’s sale wisely is crucial to avoid past mistakes like the £6million spent on Danilo, whose injury issues and modest goal-scoring record highlight the dangers of high-cost, unproven signings.

The Ibrox outfit, under Russell Martin, should target a proven, athletic striker like Matija Frigan, ensuring funds are allocated to a durable, high-impact player to maintain competitiveness and capitalise on their player-trading model.
