Rangers ‘to accept Hamza Igamane transfer’ after incredible offer at Ibrox

Hamza Igamane could potentially end his one-year stint at Rangers this transfer window after a massive offer at Ibrox.

LOSC Lille want to sign the Morocco international, with France likely his next destination after a breakthrough season in Glasgow.

Igamane has shown massive potential at Ibrox, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Gers sell him for the right price in the coming weeks.

The Light Blues could potentially be in line to make a massive profit from the 22-year-old centre-forward’s sale as they start a new era under Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe.

Igamane transfer for upwards of £15m to be incredible for Rangers

It would be incredible for the Gers to get upwards of £15million for Igamane this summer, Ryan McDonald says.

The Daily Record journalist believes the Light Blues should accept a significant offer for the Moroccan youngster after signing him for £1.5m from AS FAR last summer.

McDonald feels the Glaswegian outfit should accept anything over £15m for the 22-year-old at Ibrox as they rebuild their team under the new American owners.

Speaking on Games On (27 June), the journalist said: “I think anything upwards of £15m would be great business for Rangers. What did they sign him for? That’s incredible markup, incredible business.

“I think it’s going to be a slow process for Rangers this rebuild. So if you can get that amount of money in the first window, then I think you’ve got to take it.”

Kevin Thelwell has no-brainer Igamane transfer call at Ibrox

Igamane’s possible sale this summer at Ibrox feels like a no-brainer if Lille offer the right amount for him.

The Morocco international had a few good months at the Gers last season, which have seen his value skyrocket.

While the 22-year-old did show a lot of potential after cementing his place in the starting lineup under Philippe Clement, Barry Ferguson didn’t seem to trust the centre-forward.

Rangers should sell Igamane while he’s in demand, and Kevin Thelwell must use that money to build a competitive team ahead of next season.

The US consortium has already approved an additional £20m investment during the EGM, and the Moroccan youngster’s sale will undoubtedly provide them with a substantial cash injection.

While it will undoubtedly be challenging to replace the 22-year-old, the recruitment department will arguably be confident as they now have access to the 49ers’ database.

Russell Martin will hope that a majority of the transfer business at the Glaswegian outfit is completed before taking charge of his first competitive game at Ibrox, but only time will tell how the situation unfolds in G51.
