Hamza Igamane agreement reached as Rangers ‘in huge trouble’

Hamza Igamane appears to be on the verge of sealing his permanent Rangers exit, only a year after joining.

The Moroccan moved to Ibrox last summer and while it did take him a few months to get going, he then became one of their most important players.

However, his stay at the Glasgow outfit appears to be short-lived as competition is now heating up for his services.

Lille strike three-year contract agreement with Hamza Igamane

According to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Ligue 1 side Lille have reached a contractual agreement with the 22-year-old over a three-year contract.

The Ligue 1 side have agreed terms with Igamane, but there may be a late twist in the saga.

Another French side have entered the race for the Rangers attacker and by the looks of it, that club is Marseille.

Lille are expected to submit their offer soon to Gers as they want to sign him ahead of their Ligue 1 rivals.

Rangers in huge trouble as Cyriel Dessers may also leave

Rangers could face significant challenges if both Cyriel Dessers and Igamane depart this summer, as their exits would leave a substantial gap in the squad’s attacking line.

Dessers and Igamane have been the focal points for the Ibrox outfit and replacing them is going to be a significant challenge.

Igamane’s career stats.

Losing both would necessitate signing at least two new strikers, a task complicated by the time required for new players to adapt to the Scottish Premiership’s physicality, tactical demands and Gers’ high-pressure environment.

The club’s recent struggles, including a trophyless campaign, highlight the urgency of maintaining squad depth.

Rangers must proactively shortlist and pursue striker targets now to ensure new signings have sufficient time to integrate and perform effectively.

Russell Martin knows he’s got a big challenge on his hands in order to bring in the right players through the door.
