Rangers table £4m bid as huge Turgeman development emerges
Rangers are reportedly keen on signing Dor Turgeman in the summer transfer window.
Russell Martin has been appointed by the Ibrox hierarchy and he’s understood to want a new striker in the coming weeks.
Turgeman is Maccabi Tel Aviv’s talisman and he has bagged 13 goals in 22 league games this past season.

Dor Turgeman bid rejected by Maccabi Tel Aviv
Gers have made their first move towards signing the 21-year-old Israel international as Martin’s plans are starting to take shape.
According to Israel Hayom (8 June), the Ibrox outfit tabled a £4million bid for the Israel international.
Maccabi Tel Aviv rejected that offer as it does not match their valuation of the striker.
Team | Matches Played | Goals | Assists |
---|---|---|---|
M. Tel Aviv | 109 | 32 | 9 |
B TLV Bat Yam | 31 | 4 | 5 |
Rangers have been in talks to sign Turgeman as he is a transfer priority for them this summer.
Martin has admired the 21-year-old since his Southampton days and is now seeing his new club backing him in the transfer market as they’ve made a move to get him to Ibrox.

Rangers may come in with another bid for Turgeman
Rangers are likely to submit a second bid for Turgeman after their initial offer was rejected, driven by new manager Martin’s admiration and sporting director Kevin Thelwell’s prioritisation of the 21-year-old striker.
With a £20million investment from new American owners, Gers aim to bolster their attack before the Champions League qualifiers, and Turgeman’s 20 goals and six assists in 44 matches in all competitions during the 2024-25 season make him a prime target.
His versatility includes strong ball-carrying, link-up play, and finishing, evidenced by a goal every 115 minutes in the Israeli Premier League.
Turgeman’s ability to create chances and his physicality suit Martin’s high-pressing, dynamic system.
Despite competition from Italian and Spanish clubs, Turgeman’s expressed readiness to move to Europe aligns with Rangers’ ambitions to challenge Celtic’s dominance.
A second bid, potentially around £5million, reflects their determination to secure a young, high-potential striker to complement or replace injury-prone forwards like Danilo.
