Rangers respond as official Hamza Igamane announcement made

Hamza Igamane has been the focus of a fresh announcement made away from Rangers ahead of the summer.

With the season now over, Rangers will have already turned their full focus to the summer transfer window and the decisions that need to be made within it.

Ibrox needs to witness change after such a disappointing campaign, putting pressure on Rangers to recruit well while also retaining the services of those who have thrived this season.

Igamane will undoubtedly be one of those linked with an exit from Glasgow, but before any considerations are made on that front, the frontman has plenty of other things to attend to.

Igamane set for a busy summer

Under Barry Ferguson, Igamane often found himself on the bench for big games, raising the question of whether his future will lie at Rangers next season.

Tottenham are one of the sides to have been linked with a move, showcasing the fact that he is going to be a wanted man in the transfer window.

However, before any consideration has been made on his future, the striker will jet off for international football after Morocco announced that he was in the squad for their upcoming friendlies with Benin and Tunisia at the start of June.

Via X, Rangers responded with the message: “Congratulations to Hamza Igamane on his call-up to the Morocco squad.”

PSG star Achraf Hakimi and Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz are also named among the squad.

Rangers cannot afford to sanction Igamane exit

Once Igamane returns from international duty, he will undoubtedly want clarity on the situation regarding his future at Ibrox.

Of course, until Rangers appoint their next manager, that decision may be put on the back burner, though with Premier League interest swirling, he may be tempted.

Despite often being on the bench, Igamane has showcased his worth to the Light Blues, and they will be a far better team with him in it next season as opposed to not.

This summer is going to be a crucial one for Rangers as they look to get back to being a side capable of competing with Celtic for domestic silverware and bringing the glory back to Glasgow once again.
