Dermot Gallagher reacts to controversial Rangers v Celtic footage
Rangers drew 1-1 with Celtic in the final Old Firm derby of the season on Sunday, and the clash was not without its controversy.
The Ibrox giants went 1-0 up thanks to Cyriel Dessers’ goal, before Adam Idah restored parity for Brendan Rodgers’ men.
Barry Ferguson’s men could be in trouble for a controversial tifo unveiled by supporters ahead of kickoff at Ibrox.
Meanwhile, the build-up to the encounter was surrounded by a debate on whether the Light Blues would give Celtic a guard of honour after their bitter rivals won the Scottish Premiership title.

Gallagher agrees with referee decision in Rangers 1-1 Celtic
The Gers have now failed to win in four attempts in the Scottish Premiership after drawing with Celtic on Sunday.
Meanwhile, referee Nick Walsh and VAR did not hand the Light Blues a penalty when Celtic captain Callum McGregor collided with Ianis Hagi in the penalty area, causing the Romania international to fall to the ground.
Speaking on Sky Sports News [5 May, 11.40am], Dermot Gallagher said that he agreed with the referee’s decision.
“I think it’s just a reaction. Two players reaching for the ball – not a penalty for me,” he said.

49ers Enterprises must get their managerial appointment spot on
The 49ers Enterprises are still closing in on their takeover of the Ibrox club, after overseeing Leeds United’s promotion from the Championship to the Premier League.
Questions have been asked of how the consortium can successfully take charge of both the Ibrox giants and the West Yorkshire outfit.
But once the 49ers complete the acquisition of their controlling stake in Rangers, they will be tasked with deciding who the Ibrox side’s next manager will be.
Interim Ferguson is unlikely to be handed the managerial reins after winning four of his 12 games in charge of the Light Blues, also enduring four draws and suffering four defeats.
The Gers have set their sights on a move for former Borussia Dortmund boss Marco Rose, who steered RB Leipzig to the German Cup in 2023.
After failing to win silverware this season, Rangers will be desperate to win trophies under their new manager next term once an appointment is made.
