Jefte and Ridvan Yilmaz ‘exit on cards’ at Rangers amid Celtic transfer claim
Rangers could potentially be without Jefte and Ridvan Yilmaz when the upcoming transfer window commences.
Barry Ferguson relied on the Turkish defender to start for the Gers as they beat Dundee 4-3 at Dens Park in what was an exciting comeback from the visitors.
Jefte has also been pivotal at Ibrox this season, but the Brazilian national has been attracting interest after his displays for the Light Blues in the current campaign.
Celtic left-back Greg Taylor has recently been linked with a move to the Bears, with speculation surrounding the futures of Jefte and Yilmaz.

Rangers may be without Jefte and Yilmaz as Taylor transfer mooted
Jefte and Yilmaz may leave the Gers in the upcoming transfer window, Jonny McFarlane says.
The Scottish journalist expects one or both left-backs to sign elsewhere next summer after failing to cement their authority at the Light Blues.
Player | League Appearances | Assists |
Jefte | 27 | 2 |
Yilmaz | 17 | 2 |
McFarlane has heard Taylor is a Bears fan and feels the 27-year-old Scottish defender could fit right in at Ibrox.
In the Rangers Review (4 April), the journalist wrote: “I’m led to believe [Taylor] grew up a fan of the blue half of the city and is a proven Scottish Premiership performer in a position that neither Jefte nor Yilmaz have made their own. I’d wager one or both will leave in the summer.
“Taylor’s solid, reliable, almost always available and very good in the modern inverted role. While it’s a clever shout to get people talking, it would be a move that ticks a lot of boxes.”

Ferguson future to determine Jefte and Yilmaz transfer stance
Ferguson has become a contender at Ibrox as the search for the next permanent manager continues.
Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises will have a massive decision to make regarding the interim boss at the Gers once they complete their takeover.
The former Scotland international has proven his nous after beating Jose Mourinho and Brendan Rodgers during his short spell at the Light Blues.
Rangers will be lucky to have someone like Ferguson lead them into the new era, even if on a short-term basis.
The US consortium will evidently have several off-field issues to deal with, making the interim manager’s continuity beyond this season a no-brainer.
Ibrox arguably needs some stability after the tumultuous period under Philippe Clement, and Ferguson can undoubtedly provide that.
The supporters seem to be behind their former captain as he implements changes in the setup and structure at the Glaswegian outfit.
Ferguson has had enough time to assess the players at his disposal as well, making judgements regarding the likes of Jefte and Yilmaz in the upcoming transfer window relatively easier.
