Nedim Bajrami breaks silence on Rangers struggles, ‘ready’ for Albania
Nedim Bajrami has spoken about his lack of minutes at Rangers ahead of Albania facing England in the World Cup qualifiers.
The former Sassuolo star has joined the Red and Blacks for the international break as they take on the Three Lions on 21 March at Wembley.
Barry Ferguson left the 26-year-old on the bench as the Gers beat Celtic 3-2 at Parkhead on Sunday (16 March) after a late goal from Hamza Igamane.
Bajrami has struggled at Ibrox this season, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him leave the Light Blues after just one year, but the attacking midfielder has put on a determined face with his national side.

Bajrami admits lack of minutes at Rangers, ready to play for Albania
Bajrami admitted he hasn’t had many minutes at the Glaswegian out recently but is ready to feature for Albania.
The 26-year-old admits he had a good six months at the Bears but has struggled for minutes before joining up with his national side this time around.

In a plea to the Red and Blacks’ manager, Sylvinho, Bajrami is adamant he will give his best for them against England if selected.
Speaking to Gazeta Tema (18 March), the midfielder said: “I’ve had a good six months at Rangers. I haven’t had many minutes this time, but I’m ready. I play on the wing and in the middle of the field, wherever Sylvinho wants me. I’m ready to give my best.”

Ferguson doesn’t count on Bajrami
Ferguson has strengthened his claim at Ibrox after defeating Fenerbahce and Celtic in a span of a few weeks since taking over as interim manager.
The Gers icon has given the fans something to look forward to as the Light Blues face Athletic Club in the Europa League quarter-finals after the international break.
Bajrami has been a bit-part player in Ferguson’s plans and had already found game time hard to come by in the final weeks of Philippe Clement’s tenure.
The interim manager has changed the system, playing a back-five and has preferred Vaclav Cerny and Mohamed Diomade in attacking to support Cyriel Dessers.
While the former Sassuolo star had an encouraging start to life at the Bears, his performances have been underwhelming for a considerable period.
It makes sense for the 26-year-old to be benched as he has failed to put in displays worthy of getting him a start.
The international break could possibly give the Albanian midfielder a chance to rediscover his form and return to Glasgow in high spirits to fight for his place in the team.
