Joey Barton reacts to Ferguson footage after Rangers win v Celtic
Rangers defeated Celtic 3-2 in a dramatic Old Firm Derby at Celtic Park on Sunday.
The Bears held a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Nicolas Raskin and Mohamed Diomande, but Celtic levelled proceedings in the second half through Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate.
It was the Light Blues who took the spoils over their bitter rivals, though, when Hamza Igamane netted an impressive winner in the final minutes.
While Rangers have progressed to the Europa League quarter-finals, Sunday’s victory marked the most memorable result of interim boss Barry Ferguson‘s tenure so far.

Following their victory at Celtic Park, the Rangers uploaded footage of Ferguson passionately celebrating the result in front of the travelling support.

Fenerbahce (A) | 1-3 W |
Fenerbahce (H) | 0-2 L (Rangers won 3-2 on penalties) |
Celtic (A) | 2-3 W |
Former Gers midfielder Joey Barton shared his delight with the Light Blues’ triumph over Celtic, and re-posted the video on X, saying: “Up The Teddy Bears.”
Barton made just eight appearances for the Bears back in 2016, but clearly still has a strong affinity to the club.

Celtic result must act as a catalyst for Rangers’ domestic season
Despite their victory at Celtic Park on Sunday, the Gers are still 13 points behind their rivals in the title race and will not be lifting the Scottish Premiership title at the end of the season.
But Sunday’s win marked the Light Blues’ first domestic triumph since a 4-2 win at Kilmarnock on 26 February, which highlights their struggles this term.
Rangers have done very well to reach the Europa League quarter-finals, in which they will lock horns with La Liga side Bilbao next month.
But on domestic soil, the Gers have been enduring a tough campaign, as last month’s home defeat to St Mirren prompted the sacking of former boss Philippe Clement.
Rangers also suffered an early exit from the Scottish Cup when they were beaten by Championship side Queen’s Park at Ibrox on 9 February.
The Light Blues will look to get themselves back on track following a morale-boosting victory at Celtic Park, which has done Ferguson’s chances of becoming permanent manager no harm.
