Rangers make Hamza Igamane announcement amid transfer speculation

Rangers attacker Hamza Igamane has been linked with an Ibrox exit after his good performances this season.

The Moroccan has bagged nine goals in 25 league appearances for the club and has been their focal point in the final third.

The 22-year-old was linked with Everton in the January transfer window, but ended up staying put in Glasgow.

It’s understood that the attacker is still reportedly in demand ahead of the summer.

Gers make Hamza Igamane international announcement

With the international break just around the corner, a lot of nations are starting to announce their squads.

Morocco also did exactly the same and for the first time ever, decided to call up Igamane to the squad.

His glorious season at Ibrox has not gone unnoticed and he’s finally recognised for his contributions at the international level.

While he did feature for AS FAR in Morocco, his delivering in the SPFL and Europa League is what saw Walid Regragui call up the 22-year-old.

To celebrate this major feat, Gers took to X in order to announce that Igamane had been called up.

They wrote: “Congratulations to Hamza Igamane on his first senior call-up to the Morocco squad.”

Tottenham target Hamza Igamane could leave Rangers in the summer

If Tottenham and Everton maintain their interest in Igamane, the young striker could be tempted to leave Ibrox in the summer of 2025.

The 22-year-old Moroccan, who joined Rangers from AS FAR last summer, has shown promise, catching the eye of Premier League scouts.

Tottenham’s attacking style under Ange Postecoglou and Everton’s need for youthful firepower could offer Igamane a bigger stage and higher wages, especially if either club tables a concrete offer.

Rangers, despite their Europa League progress, face financial constraints and a competitive Scottish Premiership, potentially making a move south appealing.

Igamane’s ambition to test himself in a top-five league, combined with persistent interest, might unsettle him, particularly if Gers don’t secure silverware or a lucrative contract extension by summer, risking his departure.
