Rangers attacker Hamza Igamane will not be joining Everton in this transfer window, according to David Anderson.

The Daily Mirror journalist reported on 30 January that the Toffees will not be signing the 22-year-old in the coming days despite heavy transfer links.

Gers are understood to be demanding £25million in exchange for the Moroccan's services [TEAMtalk, 29 January] and they will not be getting that from the Merseyside outfit.

Via X, Anderson wrote: "Not happening this window is Everton signing Rangers Hamza Igamane."

Rangers will want Hamza Igamane to stay amid interest from Tottenham

Gers will be hoping that Spurs also pull out of the race to sign Igamane, especially after Everton's interest has been quashed.

The Moroccan has been a standout performer for the Ibrox outfit this season, making him a critical asset they would prefer not to lose.

With the transfer window closing soon, the club face a tight deadline to find a suitable replacement should they accept a big-money offer for the striker.

The £25million valuation set by Gers indicates their high regard for Igamane's abilities and contributions, but it also reflects the challenge of finding an equivalent player on such short notice.

Losing the 22-year-old without securing a replacement could disrupt the team's momentum and system, particularly as they compete in domestic and European competitions.

Therefore, Gers are likely relieved by the news that the Toffees won't be pursuing the transfer, hoping Tottenham follows suit to keep their squad intact.
