Celtic fan Martin Compston to ban family member from house after Rangers news
Celtic supporter Martin Compston has been riled up after the latest takeover news coming out of Rangers.
It has been Celtic supporters who have been able to enjoy this season more as 16 points separate them at the top of the table from Rangers in second.
The Gers also lost out to their arch-rivals on penalties in the Scottish League Cup final, meaning there is plenty of envy between the two teams.

The Light Blues are not having a good time of things at Ibrox, and as a result Philippe Clement has recently found himself out of a job.
Barry Ferguson has returned to Ibrox as interim boss until the end of the season and has won one and lost one game so far.
However, things could soon be looking up, with the 49ers Enterprises having agreed a deal to take over Rangers.
The deal is yet to be completed but supporters will be looking increasingly hopeful towards the summer transfer window with the takeover set to be completed by then.
New investors will certainly give the Gers more financial resources, which would hopefully see them climb back up towards the levels they expect to be competing at.
However, supporters of Celtic look set to be subject to feeling some envy now. When asked about the Gers live on talkSPORT [5 March, 08:38am], Compston jokingly said: “I’m on the other side of the city, let them deal with that.
“My father-in-law is a 49ers fan so I’ve told him if that goes through, he’s banned from the house.”

Rangers looking ahead to better times
Rangers have had a torrid time of things lately and have seen lower standards than expected both on and off the pitch.
Clement’s sacking at Ibrox felt inevitable, and a 2-0 defeat against St Mirren proved to be the final nail in the coffin for his job.
Played | Won | Drawn | Lost | Goals for | Goals against | Goal difference | Points | |
Rangers | 29 | 18 | 5 | 6 | 59 | 26 | 33 | 59 |
Celtic | 29 | 24 | 3 | 2 | 87 | 17 | 70 | 75 |
The appointment of Ferguson gave a short-term lift to supporters, given he is someone who knows the club and the expected levels, but he doesn’t have the experience you would expect for a manager of the Light Blues.
While a takeover doesn’t necessarily mean that the Gers will be winning the league next season, it will certainly give the team a chance to compete at the top end of the table, which is exactly what supporters are calling out for.
Celtic’s period of dominance in Scottish football could soon be coming to an end.
