Hamza Igamane transfer: Rangers to ‘earn small fortune’ after Ibrox developments

Hamza Iagamne could potentially be sold for a hefty sum by Rangers in the coming transfer windows.

The Moroccan national has broken out at the Gers this season and has cemented his place in the starting lineup.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see top teams being interested in signing Igamane from Ibrox in the coming months after what he’s done recently.

Philippe Clement has heavily relied on the 22-year-old, and he featured for the Light Blues as they beat Hearts 3-1 at Tynecastle Stadium on Sunday (6 February), which was the striker’s 13th league start in the last 14 Scottish Premiership games.

Barry Ferguson believes the Bears could soon make a small fortune from Igamane’s sale.

The ex-Gers midfielder feels the Light Blues have a quality player on their hands, as he’s scored 13 goals this season.

While Ferguson has high hopes for the 22-year-old, he wants to see the Glaswegian outfit develop him in the right way to get the best value.

Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show (17 February), the 47-year-old said: “In terms of Igamane, Rangers have certainly got a player on their hands. It’s just about making sure he develops right, and if that’s going to be the case, I think they will earn a small fortune off him.”

Hamza Igamane development impressive at Ibrox

Igamane’s explosive emergence at Ibrox this season has been one of the few positives for fans in what has been a rather underwhelming few months.

The Gers are arguably out of the race for the league title, sitting 13 points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.

Queen’s Park effectively ended the Light Blues’ domestic season after eliminating them from the Scottish Cup.

The Bears now find themselves arguably playing meaningless games, with Igamane also losing a bit of his spark recently.

Clement’s only chance at a trophy this season is the Europa League, and he will hope the 22-year-old forward gets back to his best in time for the competition.

Cyriel Dessers suffered initially after the Moroccan national pipped him in the pecking order, but the 30-year-old has changed the perception around him with some impressive displays of late.

Danilo has been on the sidelines for some time but could soon return to action.

While Igamane has the potential to take the Glaswegian outfit back to the top, they seemingly won’t be able to reject a significant offer.
