Sky Sports journalist shares Rangers transfer update live at Ibrox
Gordon Duncan believes it is unlikely that Rangers will make any more signings before the 11pm transfer deadline on Monday.
The Gers have already confirmed a signing on 3 February with Lyall Cameron signing a pre-contract agreement to move to Ibrox in the summer.
The 22-year-old joins Rafael Fernandes as the Light Blues’ only business of the winter window and Duncan has revealed to Sky Sports News (3 February, 3:34), that these could be the only deals done in Govan this window.
He said: “I know fans might get excited and think that perhaps something might get done between now and the end of today but it does look very unlikely that, that will be the case.
“Lyall Cameron is set for a move here in the summer. In terms of other imminent arrivals, I suppose you could say that Rangers have stuck fairly close to their words. CEO Patrick Stewart gave a briefing a few weeks ago and he said it would be one, maybe two players in.
“They’ve signed Rafael Fernandes, the defender, he’s the one and I wonder if Lyall Cameron is the second, albeit on a pre-contract. Never say never, there could be more movement but it looks like Cameron might be the last piece of business.”
Rangers unlikely to conduct more winter transfer business
It has been a somewhat underwhelming window at Ibrox given how frustrating the season has been under Philippe Clement.
The Belgian’s side are sitting 10 points behind their Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership and have shown little signs of closing that gap.
As a result, the window posed an ideal opportunity to add to their squad and make a difference to their side for the rest of the campaign.
That hasn’t truly been the case with Fernandes the only player to come in, with Cameron not coming in until the end of the season.

With that being said, there have not yet been any key departures for players who would need replacing like Hamza Igamane who has been linked with a Premier League switch.
There are arguments on both sides to say that the Light Blues should have done more business but it will be interesting to see if they will regret not doing so when they had the chance.
