Rangers transfer round-up: Igamane to Everton hint, Chelsea transfer still on

Rangers will be looking to make the most of the hours remaining in the winter transfer window as rumours continue to intensify.

Although the Light Blues have improved in recent weeks, any chances of success could hinge on the business they are able to conduct before the window slams shut.

If that is to be the case, Rangers will need to ramp up their efforts to secure any additional incomings while being mindful of potential exits.

Ibrox News rounds up all the latest news at Ibrox.

Rangers have Hamza Igamane hope

Having been linked with a move for Hamza Igamane all window [Tuttosport], Everton look to have ended their interest in signing the Rangers forward.

Sky Sports provided an update at Goodison Park suggesting that the Toffees will not be pursuing a new striker signing this window and it could provide the Light Blues with a huge boost for the remainder of the season.

Unless another side come in with an offer, it appears that Rangers have been successful in their attempts to retain the services of Igamane despite fierce interest.

Although anything can happen in the remainder of the window, this looks set to be the best bit of business done by the Gers.

Chelsea transfer could still happen

Philippe Clement’s side had been tipped to make a move for Aaron Anselmino [Scottish Sun] but hopes of any deal took a hit when a deal was proposed to Marseille.

However, that deal has since fallen through and a move to Ibrox could be back on the cards ahead of the pre-midnight deadline on 3 February [Scottish Sun].

Chelsea are said to be keen on securing a temporary loan switch for the 19-year-old and it could provide Rangers with the perfect opportunity to jump at the chance.

If a deal is to happen, the Gers will need to move fast if they are to jump to the front of the queue for his signature.

Rangers accept bid from Championship club

Ranges are understood to have accepted a bid from Championship side Millwall for the signing of Zak Lovelace [Daily Record].

Lovelace has struggled to make anything of career at Ibrox and an exit has been on the cards all window with that one likely to go through before the deadline.

Millwall are believed to have submitted a seven-figure bid for the 19-year-old which will see him return to his former club after leaving in 2022.

Lovelace had rejected the opportunity to extend his stay in Scotland and Rangers were keen to secure a fee for his services, as opposed to lose him for far less in the summer.
