Rangers ‘get Hamza Igamane exit answer’ after Philippe Clement admission

Philippe Clement has all but confirmed Hamza Igamane – and every other Rangers player – will be staying put at Ibrox ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.

Igamane has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Glasgow over the past month or so, with Everton, Tottenham and West Ham United credited with an interest [TEAMtalk].

However, speaking at his post-match press conference after the 4-0 win over Ross County on Sunday (2 February), Clement provided a transfer update that will be music to the ears of every supporter.

Philippe Clement shares Rangers transfer update

As relayed by journalist Scott Bradley on X [2 February], Clement said that any player that leaves will need to be replaced by a player of the same quality.

Given the lack of links with players, it seems pretty nailed on that the Rangers squad will now remain as it is until the summer.

It looked at one point in January as though Igamane was destined for the Ibrox exit, and that came as no real surprise.

Granted, nobody expects a player to depart six months after arriving at a club, but Igamane’s impact has been instant and he looks a real gem.

The Moroccan may not have netted in four matches, but 13 goals and two assists in 27 Europa League and Scottish Premiership outings is a good return.

Igamane will now remain a Rangers player until at least the summer, but expect the transfer rumours to stick around between now and then.

All the Gers can hope for is that the forward continues to impress. If nothing else, that will only add extra millions to his price tag when he does eventually go.
