Archie Stevens has completed a “great move” from Rangers to Dunfermline Athletic in the winter transfer window, Four Lads Had A Dream says.
The Gers have confirmed (31 January) that the 19-year-old has joined the Scottish Championship outfit on loan until the end of the season.
Stevie Clifford of Four Lads described the B-Team prospect as “promising” and are delighted to see the youngster join Dunfermline.
Four Lads wrote on their personal X account (31 January): “Very promising player, great move for him.”
Archie Stevens Dunfermline transfer sensible for Rangers
The B-Team have already played most of their fixtures this season, and it makes sense for the Light Blues to sanction Stevens’ temporary move to the Scottish Championship.
While consistent game time at Ibrox would arguably have been difficult for the 19-year-old, the Ibrox faithful will hope he can get regular minutes in Fife.
The England Under-18 international plays on the right wing, where Vaclav Cerny has cemented his place in Philippe Clement’s plans.
Rangers have sent several of their youngsters out on loan in the winter window as there seems to be a renewed approach regarding the academy stars at the Glaswegian outfit.
The Belgian manager has also included the likes of Bailey Rice, Findlay Curtis and Zak Lovelace in the team in recent matches, providing some minutes to them as well.
Youth seems to be a priority for the Gers going forward, and it remains to be seen how Clement’s approach will change over the coming months.
The Light Blues have some impressive young talent on their roster and the Ibrox faithful will hope they are utilised more in the coming future.
