Rangers have obvious Igamane transfer decision to make after Tottenham development
Rangers are in dire need of reinforcement before 3 February if they wish to end the Scottish Premiership season on a high.
While things have gone well on occasion, more often than not Philippe Clement’s men have found themselves on the back foot which isn’t ideal for a team who are supposed to be battling for the title.
Hamza Igamane has been the shining light at Ibrox over the last couple of months but the fact that Tottenham are now in reportedly looking to sign him should be a cause for concern [TBR Football, 26 January].
Africa Foot reported via their website (28 January) that Spurs are now ready to “welcome” the Moroccan amid their search for a new striker and are in “pole position” to do so.
The former AS Far forward has been a bright spark for Philippe Clement in recent weeks with the Gers likely to demand a fee of around £25million to pry him away [TEAMtalk, 29 January].
Rangers cannot let Hamza Igamane leave Ibrox
The 2024/25 season has been tough for Rangers with the Ibrox outfit falling short on a fair few fronts.
Up until Igamane became a regular starter in their XI, one of the main thorns in their side was their options at number nine with Cyriel Dessers’ lack of composure often being a significant cause of frustration for fans.
However, after Igamane was introduced it felt like the Gers had a new lease of life handed to them with the striker finding himself in fine form.
So, as the winter transfer window opened, it was hardly a surprise to see plenty of teams lurking around the attacker.

However, now there are only four and a half days left of the window, it would be an insane thing for Philippe Clement to allow his star man to leave with no time to source a replacement.
Only time will tell what the future holds for the 22-year-old but on paper, it seems like a ridiculous thing to even be considered at the moment.
In other Rangers news, Michael Stewart has mooted the exit of an in-form player before the transfer window slams shut.
