Hamza Igamane transfer: Rangers one to keep eye on emerges before deadline

Rangers star Hamza Igamane is one player to keep an eye on late in the winter transfer window, Graeme Bailey says.

The TBR journalist has revealed that the Gers striker is of genuine interest to Everton, who have already done their work on him.

While it remains to be seen whether the Premier League outfit will make a move for the 22-year-old, the situation is one to watch until the 3 February deadline.

Speaking to Everton News (27 January), Bailey said: “Igamane is a player of real interest to a number of Premier League clubs as the window closes. Everton still like him, they have done a work on him.

“It remains to be seen if they make a push. Tottenham have joined the hunt for him, but a host of clubs are now looking — he is one to really keep an eye on the final week or so of the window.”

Rangers can’t afford to lose Hamza Igamane in Everton transfer

Igamane has been one of the standout players at Ibrox since his inclusion in the starting line-up this season.

Philippe Clement took his time introducing the Moroccan striker to regular first-team action, but he’s finally coming into his own, scoring consistently in recent matches.

The 22-year-old is now the undisputed starter at the Glaswegian outfit, pipping Cyriel Dessers in the pecking order.

Rangers may not be in the fight for the league title, but the Bears still have a chance to make it far in the Europa League and Scottish Cup.

The Gers need Igamane in their ranks at least until the end of the season to have a chance of lifting a trophy in the coming months.

Everton are an established Premier League outfit, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if the 22-year-old was lured by the prospect of featuring at Goodison Park.

The Moroccan youngster will undoubtedly attract interest from top teams, but the Light Blues should do everything in their power to retain him.
