Cyriel Dessers transfer: Rangers ‘to accept £4m’ before February deadline
Rangers should accept £4million for Cyriel Dessers in the winter transfer window, Keith Jackson says.
The Daily Record journalist has urged the Gers to cash in on the Nigerian striker if they receive a substantial offer before 3 February.
While Jackson wants the Light Blues to sell the 30-year-old, it has to be for the right amount, as keeping him at Ibrox until the summer has also been floated as an option.
Speaking on Hotline Live (26 January), the journalist said: “If £4m come in for him, you have to take that.
“Recoup as much you spent on him. But if it’s half that number, I think Rangers would as well keep him on board and re-evaluate in the summer.”

Dessers has been in fine form in recent weeks, scoring in his last three outings for the Bears in all competitions.
The Nigeria international added to his goal at Old Trafford in the Europa League against Manchester United on Thursday (23 January) with another one at Tannadice Park.
In the 3-1 win over Dundee United on Sunday (26 January), the 30-year-old found the back of the net in the 86th minute to seal the three points for the Glaswegian outfit.
Dessers has lost his place in the Rangers starting lineup in recent months after putting in some frustrating performances in what has been an underwhelming season for him.
The former Cremonese star has been linked with a return to Serie A in the winter window, and it remains to be seen whether he will leave Ibrox soon.
While Hamza Igamane has been a revelation for the Gers, they still need a reliable backup, which Danilo seemingly can’t be due to his consistent fitness issues.
The Light Blues have a big decision to make regarding the Nigerian star, and all eyes will be on his situation.
