Tam McManus slams Rangers star after moment v Dundee United — ‘Bullied’

Robin Propper was “bullied” as Rangers faced Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership, Tam McManus shared.

The PLZ Soccer pundit slammed the centre-back as opposition players got the better of him several times at Tannadice Park on Sunday (26 January).

McManus felt the Dutch defender was weak on multiple occasions when going up against Dundee United’s attack as the Gers won 3-1.

On his personal X account (26 January), the 43-year-old wrote: “Propper is weak there twice. Bullied.”

Robin Propper had mixed Rangers outing v Dundee United

While Propper certainly wasn’t at his best against Jim Goodwin’s team, the centre-back did score the Light Blues’ second goal just after the break.

The Dutch defender signed for the Bears last summer but seems to have had a tough time settling in the Scottish Premiership.

It looks like the 30-year-old isn’t suited to the style of play in Scotland, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Glaswegian outfit cut their losses on him next summer.

Rangers have had to rely on Propper in recent weeks due to several injury issues in the backline, with John Souttar, Leon Balogun and Dujon Sterling on the sidelines.

Clinton Nsiala has partnered the Dutch centre-back in the last few matches, with mixed results.

Winter window signing Rafael Fernandes was on the bench against Dundee United, and it remains to be seen whether Philippe Clement will start to count on him more going forward.

Propper is arguably at risk of losing his place in the starting lineup once everyone is back fit.

In other Rangers news, Clement has made an admission about the transfer of Ridvan Yilmaz.
