Rangers close in on Lyall Cameron transfer as Chris Jack reveals twist
Rangers are now closing in on sealing the signing of Dundee midfielder Lyall Cameron, according to Chris Jack.
The Rangers Review journalist reported on 16 January that while the priority is to bring in a new defender, given Neraysho Kasanjwirjo’s injury keeping him out for a while, the club are making strides to secure Cameron’s services.
The 22-year-old’s contract at Dundee runs out at the end of the season so this window, under his current deal, represents the last opportunity for the club to secure a transfer fee.
Lyall Cameron will be a solid signing for Rangers
Gers are expected to be active both in terms of incomings and outgoings in the January transfer window.
With half the month already completed, it’s a surprise that the club have not yet signed a new player in the winter.
Usually, they begin work before the window opens and there is positive news for the fans in the first week or so.
Hopefully, Cameron is the answer and it remains to be seen if the club look to pay a small amount upfront to bring him in during this window itself.
While it’s good to see midfielders coming through the door, fans and Philippe Clement would want there to be more activity on the defensive side of things.

Along with that, another attacking signing would not hurt, especially if Cyriel Dessers is to leave this month.
In other Rangers news, it has been revealed how much the club need to pay in order to sack Philippe Clement.
